Why 925 Silver? How does 925 Silver compare with 999 Silver?
925 silver is the purest form of solid silver that can be shaped into cups. It’s strong, mouldable, and safe for repeated daily use. 999 silver is technically purer but it’s too soft to hold its shape. Most 999 silver cups on the market are silver-plated, not solid silver. Because they are only plated, they contain less silver, are more prone to denting, oxidise more quickly, and don’t offer the same durability as solid 925 silver.

Caring Tips
Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry.
To polish or remove milk residues, make a paste of baking soda (one teaspoon) and a few drops of water, rub the paste over the cups, rinse and pat dry.
Do not use any harsh detergents, soaps with bleach-based agents, or sterilising methods.
Gentle Reminders
Natural oxidisation may occur over time. This is when the silver develops a brass yellow colour. This is normal and the cups are still effective and safe to use for mum and baby.
Common Concerns & Gentle Fixes
Q) Can I wear my Silver Nursing Cups if I’ve applied nipple cream or lotion?
A) It’s best to use your silver cups on clean, bare skin. Using creams or lotions can create a little barrier that keeps the silver from doing its gentle, soothing work. For extra care, a tiny drop of your breastmilk is all you need to help your nipples stay calm, protected, and supported as they heal.
Q) Should I worry about cleaning or sterilising my Silver Nursing Cups?
A) Your silver cups are naturally antibacterial, so harsh sterilising isn’t needed. Sterilising could actually harm the delicate silver, causing it to tarnish. A gentle wash with warm, soapy water is all it takes to keep them clean, safe, and ready for use.
Q) Is it normal if the edges of my Silver Nursing Cups feel a little snug?
A) Your body is still tender, and even the gentlest silver can feel a little snug at first. Try wearing a slightly looser bra, or slide a small silicone ring around the edge for a soft, cushioned fit. A tiny adjustment can make all the difference.
